First, let's jog our memory in regard to what Link Checks are, and why they are useful.

Link Checks refer to scheduled (automatic) or manual health checks. Checks are performed on a regular basis so you can see the health of your links at any given moment. Manual health checks should be performed if you see that a specific link is in bad health.

Automatic health checks are performed only for confirmed links whose client is not archived and are currently not being checked (via manual check).

In this article, we'll be focusing on Automatic health checks, or more precisely, the frequency of the Link checks being performed.

  • Daily - Checking the health of the links that have been imported over the last 7 days.

  • Weekly - Performed every Monday, checking the health of the links that were added between 7 days ago and 30 days ago.

  • Monthly - Performed every 3rd day of the month, checking the health of the links that were added between 1 month ago and 6 months ago.

  • Quarterly - Checking the health of the links that were added between 6 months ago and 18 months ago.

  • Yearly - Performed each year on the 12th of January, checking the health of the links that were added more than 18 months ago.
